Military Collection: Irish Guard
The history of the Irish Guards as an infantry regiment of Foot Guards in the British Army dates from 1900.
The plume ‘hackle’ is blue on the right side of his busby and his tunic buttons are sewn in fours. The collar badge is a Shamrock and his shoulder badge is represented by a Star, Order of St. Patrick.
